AI Act: Greece Takes First Steps in Implementing the AI Act!

The Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance has published the list of national authorities responsible for supervising or enforcing the respect of obligations under Union law protecting fundamental rights, including the right to non-discrimination, in relation to the use of high-risk AI systems.

This marks Greece’s initial move towards a comprehensive national framework for responsible and trustworthy AI, aligned with the EU’s human-centered approach.

The Key authorities are:

• The Hellenic Data Protection Authority,
• The Hellenic Ombudsman,
• The Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy (ADAE),
• The National Commission for Human Rights
