We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the seminar “Personal Data & Public Procurement”, presented by Stergios Konstantinou, organized in collaboration with NOMIKI BIBLIOTHIKI, with the participation of legal practitioners, in-house counsel, public sector professionals, DPOs, and experts involved in public procurement and technology projects.

The seminar focused on the intersection between data protection law and public procurement law, highlighting the increasing compliance challenges arising in digital transformation projects, IT systems, and public-sector services involving the processing of personal data.

Key topics discussed included:

  • the allocation of roles and responsibilities between contracting authorities and contractors under the GDPR,
  • contractual safeguards and data protection clauses,
  • transparency, access to documents, and confidentiality obligations,
  • practical compliance challenges in public tenders and ICT contracts,
  • as well as recent developments in CJEU case law and regulatory practice.

The strong participation and highly engaging discussion confirmed that data protection has become an essential component of public procurement governance and a critical aspect of legal and regulatory risk management.

We would like to sincerely thank NOMIKI BIBLIOTHIKI for the excellent organization and hospitality, as well as all participants for their valuable contributions and insightful discussions throughout the seminar.
